EAP Formulary

Disclaimer: This is not a comprehensive list of all the drugs that may be eligible for funding through the Exceptional Access Program (EAP) but rather contains the DINs of the most common drug products currently funded through the EAP. Please note that these drugs are funded for very specific indications under very specific clinical circumstances and not all indications will be considered. The EAP clinical reimbursement criteria must be met before funding is approved.

Note: The EAP facilitates patient access to drugs not funded on the Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) Formulary/Comparative Drug Index (Formulary), or where no listed alternative is available. Prescribers can submit requests to the EAP for any drug that is not listed on the ODB Formulary. However, not all drugs will be approved for funding. EAP requests are only considered for a drug or indication which has been approved for funding by the Executive Officer.

Until further notice, for all other products reimbursed under the EAP, pharmacies will continue to be reimbursed their acquisition cost plus the applicable mark-up:

  • 8% when the total drug cost is less than $1,000.00
  • 6% when the total drug cost is greater than or equal to $1,000.00
